Bishkek/Zurich, November 7, 2025 – hydrosolutions GmbH has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University (KNAU) to jointly develop modern academic course materials in water resources management. Under the GIZ-funded project "Climate-sensitive Water Resources Management in Central Asia (CSWRM)" implemented by ETH Zurich and hydrosolutions GmbH, the partnership will create digital teaching materials in surface water modelling, groundwater modelling, regional IWRM, and AI-assisted coding for water applications using Python, R, and Quarto notebook technologies.
The collaboration, running through August 2027, combines ETH Zurich's academic excellence with KNAU's regional expertise to create open educational resources tailored to Central Asian contexts. hydrosolutions will provide methodological guidance and facilitate online workshops with KNAU faculty, while KNAU will contribute local case studies and integrate the materials into their BSc and MSc curricula, preparing the next generation of water professionals to address contemporary challenges, including climate change adaptation.
